We have now entered the month of October which means all the girls are going to mob Starbucks for a Pumpkin Spice Latte in their sweaters and Uggs. So that means it's winter right? Well, this is California, so although the Starbucks part is correct, we do not have ANY winter. All we do is trryyy to dress winter-y and end up sweating in our clothes. I remember last year during the winter season it rained all about like 3 times and it never really dipped below 70 degrees except for a couple of times. I did hear, though, that this winter is supposed to be a real winter with a lot of cold weather and rain, so that is super exciting!!

Anyways, today I tried my best to dress as wintery as I could despite the triple digit weather (104 degrees to be exact)! I am featuring one of my many skirts-with-sweaters look which I paired with one of my new favorite Bearpaw boots which I will be rocking during the holiday season. I have been really into skorts lately and I own about 3 of them and am looking to add more to my collection. I love how skorts give you the look of a skirt in the front but the comfortable feeling of shorts throughout! A skort is definitely a staple that you should have in your closet because during the cold weather you can wear tights underneath and slip into your favorite pair of booties.

So this outfit is comprised of a black skort, a cropped sweater, a cute pair of boots, and my favorite black wide-brimmed hat. I like to pair solid colors and different textures together. My cropped sweater has a ribbed knit texture while my skort is a rough jean type texture. Lastly, my Shania Bearpaw boots are a super comfy wool texture. The buckle on the outside of them gives them a super chic look and I absolutely LOVE that. Bearpaw knows how to make super cute boots!
